Calcium Remover, Industrial Strength Cleaner and Sheetfed Aqueous Coating

SP-526 Calcium Remover is a cleaner for the build-up of calcium salts on ink rollers. It is fast, complete, and safe when used as directed. SP-526 contains wetting agents to provide optimum roller coverage without any slinging. Regular use is recommended to prevent excessive accumulation of calcium in the ink train. Supplied in quarts and gallon sizes.

SP-531 Command-Clean is a ready to use industrial strength spray cleaner to remove ink, grease and grime for use on most hard surfaces such as vinyl, rubber, plastic, metal, ceramic and painted surfaces. It is ideal for use on press side frames, walls, bindery equipment, plate cylinders and general cleaning in the pressroom, prepress, bathrooms and kitchens. Supplied in quart bottles with trigger sprayer.

NovaCoat AQ-633 is an ultra-fast drying aqueous coating designed for sheetfed coaters. NovaCoat AQ-633 has excellent flexibility, adhesion to non-porous substrates, dry speed and non-blocking character. NovaCoat AQ-633 has low odor and low VOC and adequate gloss, is slippery and is not recommended to be recoated.

Printers who are battling blocking or rub/scuff issues, have short delivery/insufficient drying capacity, or coat over non-porous substrates, including synthetic papers or plastics should try NovaCoat AQ-633. Nova Announces SP-574 Lube-A-Roll

SP-574 Lube-A-Roll is a specially formulated, high viscosity, anti-friction compound for use on non-printing “dead units.”

It is compatible with buna-nitrile, urethane and composite compound rubber rollers. SP-574 Lube-A-Roll will protect ink rollers from friction and heat build-up which can damage the roller surface. It is not recommended for use on EPDM rollers.

Nova Announces SP-569 Rubber Revitalizer

SP-569 Rubber Revitalizer is a blend of special cleaners and antioxidants that has proven to be an effective rubber surface rejuvenator on buna-nitrile, EPDM and composite roller and blanket compounds.

Using SP-569 as part of a regular maintenance program will improve the ink/water transfer of rollers along with extending the life of the rollers. Blankets will benefit with an improved performance along with a reduction in the build-up of piling.

It is available in 1-gallon and 5-gallon pails.

Nova Announces SP-520 Dampening Systems Cleaner

SP-520 Dampening Systems Cleaner is a blend of water-soluble solvents, penetrating ink cleaners, and disinfectants.

It is designed to thoroughly clean dampening circulation systems on sheetfed or web presses. Regular, periodic use of SP-520 is recommended to keep the tanks, trays, pipes and hoses clean and free of biological growth, ink and paper debris.

SP-520 is available in 1-gallon and 5-gallon pails.

Nova Announces SP-515 Plate Cleaner / Scratch Remover

SP-515 Plate Cleaner / Scratch Remover is a multipurpose cleaner for use on most brands of thermal and violet processed metal plates.

It has been tested compatible with the Fuji LP-J and LP-NV2; it is a good desensitizer for sensitive plate areas and scratches. SP-515 is a California Rule 1171 compliant product that is designed to remove ink, gum glaze and paper.

It is also suitable for use as a cleaner /desensitizer on chrome rollers and metal cylinders. SP-515 is available in quarts.

New Product :: SP-505 AGE -- Asphaltum Gum Plate Etch and Finisher

SP-505 AGE is an Asphaltum Gum Plate Etch and Finisher that is designed to provide maximum protection on CTP and conventional offset plates.

SP-505 AGE desensitizes the non-image area and greases the image surface facilitating faster roll-ups. It prevents surface oxidation of the non-image.

In the pressroom, it is an excellent plate cleaner and provides instant, clean restarts. It is easy to apply and smooth down, thereby eliminating the incidence of plate streaking and gum blinding.

SP-505 AGE is packaged in 4 x 1 gallon cartons.

Nova is introducing a new anti-sticking silicone spray known as SP-501 Repel. It is the most concentrated silicone available.

SP-501 Repel forms a protective silicone shield over the surface of anything upon which it is applied. It prevents ink, water, gum, liquids, powders, and glues from adhering to any surface.
